I could immediately begin using it for DNS. Then I set up brad.net, as a test domain, and it works. It took a few minutes to realize that the domain file needs to be in the Primary Data folder, which did offer a tiny bit of complexity and difficulty. But then, [The Men & Mice Suite] seems to be fast, too.

This is way too easy, and if I had known how easy it was I probably would have risked using it a long time ago! We have another machine for mail services. This machines also servers as a secondary name server. It is also a 6100 and it is named mail.yescorp.com. Our primary web servers are named yescorp.com. [The Men & Mice Suite] can be configure to handle dynamic load balancing with fault tolerance -- something that would cost $12k+ in the NT or Unix world. You can easily add a second (or more) web servers to increase the performance and fault tolerance of your web sites. [The Men & Mice Suite] is easy to use -- I know very, very little about the internet and IP numbers, but I was able to get it up and running in about three hours. They really do have excellent tech support. Also, [The Men & Mice Suite] has "wizards" that step you through the creation of new domains. You answer each screen of easy questions and then it configures your new domain -- very nice.

We downloaded the demo copy of [The Men & Mice Suite] and worked with their tech support before we purchase the product. Once we have everything the way we needed it, we then purchased the software. BTW, you just have to enter the license code to make the demo permanent. DNS intimidated me to no end, but it really was not bad once I started working with [The Men & Mice Suite]. I still don't understand "why" but now I know "how"..."

My internet site is a closed/members only state-wide site where we run our own mail servers, list servers, web servers, realaudio, etc., so we have three of your [The Men & Mice Suite] servers licensed and running. The DNS Expert is useful because I can verify that our name servers are correctly listed by interNIC and handled correctly by the root servers out on the net, and can verify and spot any differences between the primary data files on the three machines, as well as any other problems.

I have tested it by messing up one of the primary files and then used DNS Expert to check our site and it found the problems each time. Our subscribers are all over the state of California and access our services via their own local internet service providers. We operate a very busy list server and sometimes subscribers call and tell us that they are not getting their e-mail from our list server. I have used DNS Expert to "walk" the subscriber's local isp to determine if there are local DNS problems with the particular ISP, and afterwards e-mail the isp with what I find, which is usually an mx record problem. You tech support response time is excellent. I always hear back in less than 24 hours. I started as a novice in DNS management, and thanks to your program and tech support, I finally think I know what I'm doing!

You appear to be on top of the issues involving DNS management. For what I get, your prices are very reasonable and upgrades are always easy to install.
